(TORONTO) January 28, 2017 - Following the devastating passing of Adam Ant guitarist and musical director Tom Edwards, 41, three days ago while on tour with Adam for the North American Kings of the Wild Frontier tour, and after postponing concerts in Philadelphia and New York City to pay respects, it is announced today with the encouragement of Tom’s immediate family that the tour will continue, starting at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto on Sunday, January 29.

"As we work through this difficult time, we are stronger together with our fans whose messages of condolence bring great comfort to us and his family. Tom would have wanted us to continue the tour and doing so is the best way we can honour him and the spirit of the music that lived in his heart."

Tom was an esteemed guitarist throughout his career and had played with Roddy Frame, Fields of the Nephilim, Rebelles, Edwyn Collins, Andrea Corrs, Arno Castens and Spiderbites.

Peace of mind about attending to know the band and Tom's family feel it best honours his life to continue.

Adam pays tribute before Beat My Guest- understandably quite emotional- agree with comments from others that band did very well- but weird without Tom rocking out on Adam's left

How tragic, seemed like a genuine guy with some integrity too. Sadly all too rare in the industry.

Was always impressed by his musicality and prowess on guitar - remember being taken aback watching Adam's pretty disastrous set at Latitude festival in 2011, and it was Tom who saved the day!! Also great at Brixton last summer.

It would have been Tom's birthday today.
